HELLO!
Choi! Touchwood is an initiative by Chinatown Heritage Centre. We aim to preserve the rich Chinese culture behind superstitions which most people today dismiss quickly. Through a modernised identity, we hope to attract youths to open up their minds about superstitions, to educate history in a different light, through thoughts.

Choi! touchwood
Choi! Touchwood is a common slang you will definitely hear in Singapore. Like many other cultures, Singaporean Chinese believe that to touch wood (or knock on wood) will dispel or counter bad luck. "Choi" is a colloquial term of Cantonese origin with the same meaning.
MISSION
To educate about the early pioneers of Chinatown in a different and wholesome way—through their thoughts.

SUPERSTITIONS
Superstitions credulous belief in and reverence for the supernatural. In the current society of today, most superstitions are not believed or practised by the younger generation as they deem it as rubbish because it is not backed up by scientific evidence.
